Gerd Untermann

Sadly, Gerd passed away in May 2020 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. A Retrospective is planned for 2021.

Fly Freeman, fellow sculptor on the Uxbridge Studio Tour, wrote:
“Gerd’s large-scale figurative sculptures, often carved from a single block of wood, have a smooth beauty and a joy in the material…He had a delight for carving the many beautiful women among his friends and acquaintances. We will miss his warm presence in our community of artists.”
